What does the LOB do: The LOB manages strategic SAP and Peoplesoft Finance projects and system enhancements for business users. The team supports CIBC Finance and works closely with Technology to deliver SAP and Peoplesoft functional solutions, including platform enhancements, system configuration, and functional analysis for Peoplesoft Financials, SAP S/4HANA - FICO, MDG, Group Reporting, and related SAP capabilities.

Job Description:
- The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, validating, and documenting complex business requirements to support Peoplesoft Financials and SAP S/4 S/4 FICO, MDG, and Group Reporting and related technology initiatives.
- The role partners closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and alignment of business and technical solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with business partners to gather and document detailed business requirements
- Facilitate solution design discussions between business and technology teams to ensure requirements are met
- Analyze business needs and evaluate technical solution options, providing recommendations based on pros and cons
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including requirements, meeting notes, and change requests
- Support project execution activities, including organizing meetings and coordinating stakeholders
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure strong alignment across teams
- Act as a subject matter contributor supporting end-to-end project implementation
- Identify process improvement opportunities and proactively address issues within scope
- QA Tester – create test plan, test scenarios, test cases and execution.
Must Have Requirement:
- 8–10+ years of Business Analyst experience in technology delivery environments
- Proven experience gathering and documenting complex business requirements
- Experience working in Finance or Financial Systems environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels
- Experience facilitating discussions between business and technical teams
- Ability to analyze business problems and recommend solutions
- QA experience
- Familiarity with project delivery frameworks and SDLC
Nice to Have:
- Experience with SAP (S/4 S/4 FICO, MDG, and Group Reporting) or
- PeopleSoft Financials systems
- General accounting process knowledge
- Banking or financial services experience
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation
- Experience as a QA Lead

Pay: $70.00-$75.00 per hour
Experience:
- BA: 8 years (required)
