Parts & Service Advisor Position
Eagle Towing Equipment, a family-owned business with over 35 years in the towing equipment industry, is seeking an experienced and motivated Parts & Service Advisor to support our Parts & Service Department.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience in parts and service coordination, particularly within hydraulic and/or towing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and assess their parts and service needs in person, by phone, and via email.
- Respond to customer inquiries with accurate, timely, and professional service.
- Create and manage Service Orders, ensuring all details, parts, and labour are properly documented.
- Coordinate service jobs by working closely with the Shop Foreman, technicians, and Parts/Service Manager.
- Assist in preparing repair estimates, including parts, labour, and timelines.
- Ensure all required parts are sourced, ordered, and ready prior to work beginning to avoid delays.
- Maintain accurate records of service history, parts usage, and backordered items; communicate updates to customers as needed.
- Assign jobs to technicians in coordination with the Shop Foreman and management team.
- Support inventory control, including stock orders, special orders, and inventory counts.
- Work with vendors to source parts and assist in identifying new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts and showroom area.
- Provide backup support to the Parts Advisor lead when needed.
- Reports directly to Parts/Service Manager
- Perform occasional local parts pickups (valid driver’s license required).
Qualifications
- Customer service driven
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Parts Advisor, Service Advisor, or similar role (required).
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and towing equipment parts is a major asset.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Forklift certification is considered an asset.
