Kitchen Prep / Kitchen Support Staff
The Salty Dawg is hiring a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Prep / Support Team Member to join our fast-paced restaurant team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment and understands that strong preparation and organization are what keep service running smoothly. While this is not a traditional line cook position, kitchen experience and comfort working under pressure are important.
What the Role Involves
- Preparing ingredients and food items for service
- Supporting the pizzaiolo with prep and organization
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen stations
- Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen orderly
- Receiving and organizing incoming orders and inventory
- Preparing simple menu items such as salads, nachos, and other light kitchen items
- Assisting the kitchen team wherever needed during busy service
What We’re Looking For
- Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and ability to move with urgency
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, clean, and detail-oriented
- Able to follow direction and work as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
- Full-time availability preferred, including evenings and weekends

This role is less focused on cooking and more focused on preparation, support, cleanliness, and keeping the kitchen operating efficiently. The right candidate understands that prep work and organization are critical to a successful service.
We are looking for someone dependable who takes pride in keeping a kitchen clean, stocked, and ready for a busy night.
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
