Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting Ag Products and Equipment with tri axle flat decks within local areas, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various skills including commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to haul Hay and Straw, heavy equipment, and materials within designated local routes
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability
- Assist in the maintenance shop on slow days or as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe transportation at all times
Experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Prior experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred
- Knowledge of operation and handling of heavy, and automotive repair is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and compliance
- ability and desire to help on other aspects on the farm in off season.

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
