The Role:
We are seeking a lawyer with three (3) to seven (7) years of experience to join our growing Ottawa
business law team.
This is a team-oriented and client-focused role. We have a strong, dedicated, and collegial team,
with excellent supports in place to allow you to perform your best work.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will support our growing practice by assuming the following
responsibilities:
- Negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and managing a variety of corporate and commercial
contracts, including but not limited to, commercial leases, asset purchase agreements,
share purchase agreements, and franchise agreements (both Franchisor and Franchisee);
- Working on corporate reorganizations and financing transactions, including private
placements;
- Contributing to a collaborative and collegial team environment; and
- Creating strong and long-lasting connections with clients.
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills:
- You have experience in mergers and acquisitions, commercial leases, franchise law, and
private securities;
