Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC MasterCam Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, programming, and optimizing CNC machining processes using MasterCam software. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC operations, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various manufacturing tools and techniques. The successful applicant will contribute to efficient production workflows, ensuring high-quality parts are manufactured accurately and on time. Duties
- Develop and write CNC programs using MasterCam for HAAS CNC vertical milling machines including 5-Axis VMC.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to ensure precise part fabrication.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
- Assist in the development of manufacturing processes aligned with lean manufacturing principles.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Collaborate with setup teams to improve machining processes and product quality.
Qualifications
- 5 years proven experience in CNC programming with MasterCam software X4 and MasterCam 2025 in a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical knowledge of machining processes, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and related equipment.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files using SolidWorks or similar software.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, basic math skills for measurements and calculations, and familiarity with calipers.
- Experience working with HAAS controls is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of machining operations and lean manufacturing practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced production setting.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining safety standards.
