The Clinic at Christie is a multidisciplinary medical and allied health clinic looking for a Registered Acupuncturist / Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner to join our growing team on a part-time independent contractor basis.
We are looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and patient-focused practitioner who is interested in building their practice within a collaborative healthcare environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide individualized acupuncture and/or Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments to patients based on their clinical needs and goals.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians and allied health practitioners, creating opportunities for collaborative care and internal referrals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide acupuncture treatments in accordance with current professional standards
- Provide additional TCM treatments within your registered scope of practice, which may include cupping, moxibustion, tuina, or other appropriate modalities
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans, expected outcomes, and ongoing care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional treatment environment
- Communicate and collaborate with other healthcare providers when appropriate
- Follow all infection prevention, privacy, regulatory, and professional practice requirements
- Help build and maintain a consistent patient caseload
Qualifications
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO)
- Registered Acupuncturist (R. Ac) and/or Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R. TCMP)
- Professional liability insurance
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient-focused and professional approach to care
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a multidisciplinary clinic
- Previous clinical experience is preferred; however, qualified newer practitioners are welcome to apply
