The Royal Scot Hotel & Suites, part of the Trademark Collection by Wyndham, is a well-established and welcoming property located in the heart of Victoria’s Inner Harbour. Known for our long-stay guests, tour groups, and warm hospitality, we take pride in maintaining a comfortable, well-kept environment for both our guests and team members.
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and enjoys problem-solving in a hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine guest room and public area maintenance, including replacing light bulbs, switches, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues.
- Complete basic plumbing repairs, such as clearing clogged sinks and toilets, replacing faucets, and addressing minor water leaks in guest rooms and common areas.
- Carry out carpentry and finishing repairs, including drywall patching and mudding, painting, cabinet and drawer repairs, and upkeep of decks, stairs, and other property features.
- Troubleshoot and complete minor mechanical repairs on hotel equipment and appliances as required.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests to ensure a comfortable and positive guest experience.
- Assist with emergency response procedures when required, including severe weather, snowstorms, power outages, earthquakes, and other property-related incidents.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, following all safety procedures and hotel standards.
- Support the overall upkeep and presentation of the hotel, including guest rooms, corridors, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support hotel operations and the maintenance team.
Schedule
- Weekends and afternoon shift required, 4 days per week.
Pay: $24.50 per hour
