Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a smooth kitchen operation. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and cooking, with a passion for delivering excellent food service in a fast-paced environment. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience in the food industry is preferred, and a strong understanding of food handling and safety protocols is essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of ingredients
- Assist with plating dishes for service, ensuring timely delivery to customers
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or similar setting preferred
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or evenings if required
- Prior experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Pay: $16.00 per hour
