Mulan Dance Studio is seeking a passionate and experienced Ballet & Contemporary Dance Teacher to join our growing competitive dance program in Ottawa.
We are looking for a dedicated educator with strong technical training, creativity, and a positive teaching approach. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and youth dancers, inspires artistic growth, and helps students build confidence, discipline, and performance quality in a supportive environment.
Our studio offers professional training opportunities, stage performances, competitions, and a welcoming artistic community.
Responsibilities
- Teach ballet and contemporary dance classes for various ages and levels Create engaging lesson plans focused on technique, artistry, flexibility, musicality, and performance skills Support students in competition preparation, choreography, and stage performances Foster a positive, respectful, and motivating classroom environment Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback Maintain a safe and organized studio space Communicate professionally with parents and staff when needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience teaching ballet and/or contemporary dance Strong technical dance background Experience working with children and youth dancers Competition and choreography experience is an asset Strong classroom management and communication skills Passion for dance education and mentorship Positive, professional, and reliable attitude
