Experienced Residential Carpenter / Renovator

We Are Hiring
Johnson Construction 613 Inc. is looking for an experienced Residential Carpenter / Renovator to join our growing team.
We specialize in high quality residential renovations, including basements, kitchens, bathrooms, additions, secondary dwelling units (SDUs), and complete home remodels.
This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for an experienced carpenter/renovator who is proficient in all aspects of residential renovations, can work independently, solve problems on site, and consistently deliver quality workmanship with minimal supervision.
What You'll Be Doing
You should be comfortable completing most aspects of residential renovations, including:
- Framing and structural modifications
- Interior trim and finish carpentry
- Door and window installation
- Cabinet installation
- Drywall installation and basic finishing
- Flooring installation (vinyl, laminate, hardwood, tile preparation)
- Reading drawings, layouts, and specifications
- Demolition and site preparation
- General repairs and on-site problem solving
- Working alongside electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, painters, and other trades
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Communicating professionally with clients, teammates, and project leads
What We're Looking For
You must have:
- Minimum 8 years of residential renovation experience
- Strong knowledge of rough and finish carpentry
- Proficiency in all phases of residential renovations
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation. Owning a truck is preferred.
- Your own hand tools, tool belt, and cordless drills
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and pride in producing quality work
- Professional communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
