Summary
We are seeking a Groundskeeper to join our team at Port Severn Campers Association in Ontario. As a Groundskeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and safety of our outdoor spaces, ensuring an enjoyable experience for our members.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, and planting.
- Use hand tools and power tools to maintain grounds.
- Assist with irrigation system installation and repairs.
- Conduct gardening activities to enhance outdoor aesthetics.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of outdoor areas.
- Maintain all common facilities, beach, pool, and common buildings.
- Support general property maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold community standards.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience with landscape maintenance and gardening.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors.
- Strong attention to detail and safety.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Prior experience in recreational or community settings is a plus.
- Comfortable working around water
- Ability to work independently
- Preference to candidates who meet the requirements of the canada summer jobs program (17-30 years old) but not required.
- Ability to stay on in the fall if desired, and to return each year for our regular season
