Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support while handling transactions efficiently. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude will contribute significantly to our customer satisfaction and overall success.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register or point-of-sale system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions while maintaining accuracy in all financial exchanges.
- Provide technical sales support by understanding product features and benefits to assist customers in making informed decisions.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace, ensuring that products are well-stocked and displays are appealing.
- Communicate effectively with customers both in-person and over the phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, striving for resolution to enhance customer loyalty.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in cashiering or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- A friendly demeanor with the ability to sell products effectively while providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
