Role Overview:
Board Members provide oversight, leadership, and strategic guidance to support the hospital’s mission, vision, and long-term sustainability. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the strength of local healthcare services and make a meaningful impact in your community.
Key Responsibilities:

Participate in regular board and committee meetings, contributing to informed decision-making and strategic planning

Provide governance oversight, ensuring accountability, transparency, and alignment with organizational goals

Support the development and monitoring of the hospital’s strategic priorities

Act as an ambassador for WNGH, fostering positive relationships within the community

Contribute expertise and insight to support effective organizational leadership and performance
Qualifications:

Commitment to community service and improving local healthcare

Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills

Experience in governance, healthcare, finance, law, or strategic planning is considered an asset

Ability to dedicate approximately 3–6 hours per month to board and committee activities

Must reside, work or have a connection to in West Nipissing or the surrounding area
