About the role
We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our Warehouse Team. This role will be responsible for the overall management of warehouse operations in support of manufacturing, ensuring the efficient flow of raw materials and finished goods while maintaining inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This position provides leadership to warehouse personnel, implements best practices in inventory control and warehouse management, and ensures compliance with quality, food safety, and occupational health and safety requirements. The role also drives continuous improvement initiatives, develops standard operating procedures, and fosters a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork. And will work closely with Management, Production and Customer Service to support business objectives.
Compensation
Expected Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 per year. Compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications and falls within the expected range for this role.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, and shipping of finished products and handling returned/damaged goods, to ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient manner.
- Monitor the space layout plan to ensure it continues to meet company standards and work with the team to optimize warehouse space.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of boxes throughout the storage and distribution process
- Supervise, support, train, and motivate warehouse staff, fostering a positive and safety-focused work environment.
- Establish annual performance objectives, conduct performance assessments and identify opportunities for skill development.
- Ensure exceptional relationships with cross functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and Health Canada guidelines.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure all warehouse processes adhere to our Food Safety Program/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)/Good Distribution Practices, Quality Policy Statement, HACCP Prerequisite Programs and quality standards, as well ensuring compliance for direct/indirect reports
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control processes to accurately track and manage raw materials and finished goods.
- Implement Bar Coding System to accurately track inventory.
- Analyze daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Audit and verify inventory quantities for customers.
- Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, and equipment
- Ensure a safe and efficient working environment by addressing any equipment malfunctions promptly. Coordinate and schedule regular maintenance of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts.
- Comply with all ESA and OHSA regulations to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property.
- Actively participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Enforce and promote workplace safety protocols.
- Investigate and report any workplace incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Generate and analyze reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess warehouse efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving records.
- Prepare, maintain, and communicate all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ensure they are adhered to
- Ensure cleanliness of building and scheduled maintenance is performed in a timely manner
- Provide daily reporting to customers and internal stakeholders as required
- Perform other duties as required
Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safety orientation, safety training, job site inspections and reporting.
- Maintain awareness of amendments to the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and Regulations and make recommendations for their implementation.
- Perform job site safety compliance inspections including hazard analysis, safe work procedures, written reports and recommendations.
- Manage all occurrence and accident reports and incident reports
- Responsible for monitoring adherence to the company safety program by all employees and subcontractors.
- Research, plan, organize and conduct training programs/seminars for supervisors and warehouse employees, with regard to WHMIS, Fall Protection, Orientation, Personal Protection Equipment, CPR/First Aid, HACCP and GFSI training
- Ensure the timely completion of accident/injury reporting.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
- Coordinate the activities of other occupational safety personnel within one or more divisions and departments, if appropriate.
- Plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate departmental occupational safety programs.
- Provide guidance to plant personnel via safety briefings.
- Provide advice and counsel to management and other employee groups on a broad range of occupational safety issues and decisions.
- Develop and conduct occupational safety training for various workgroups, including evaluation and modification of programs to meet local, provincial, and federal OHSA requirements.
- Coordinate inspections, investigations, and occupational safety activities with departments.
- Research occupational safety information to assure the best available methods and equipment are adopted to minimize the hazards in the workplace.
- Advise on improvements in tracking and reporting procedures.
- Conduct all Health & Safety committee meetings
- Lead and/or participate in teams with safety, technical, management, and other team members.
- Periodically act as a team leader to special task forces or teams.
- Provide direction and/or guidance to less experienced occupational safety personnel.
- Provide training to managers and others on occupational safety issues.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
- Valid forklift certification is considered an asset.
- Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification (Parts I & II) or willingness to obtain.
- WHMIS Certification.
- First Aid/CPR Certification is an asset.
- HACCP, GMP, GFSI, or Food Safety training is considered an asset.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certification is an asset.
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive warehouse, shipping, and inventory management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience supervising warehouse or logistics personnel.
- Experience in the packaging, printing, folded carton, food manufacturing, or related manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience managing inventory control systems, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.
- Experience using ERP/MRP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience implementing or managing barcode scanning and inventory tracking systems.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Experience managing warehouse KPIs and preparing operational reports.
- Experience coordinating shipping, receiving, and customer deliveries.
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation and warehouse safety practices.
- Experience participating in audits related to Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, or ISO standards is preferred.
- Experience conducting employee performance evaluations, coaching, training, and workforce development.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.
