Our client, a leading organization in the environmental and manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled and motivated Environmental Technician II to join their team in the Windsor area. This position offers an excellent opportunity for long-term employment and career growth based on performance.
Pay Rate: $24.00 – $29.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Rotating Pitman Schedule)
Employment Type: Temporary to Full-Time (Based on Performance)
Key Responsibilities
*
Perform daily environmental monitoring, testing, and sampling of water, air, and waste systems.
- Operating Pneumatic Tire Electric and/or Propane Lift Truck on Manufacturing site
- Lab-packing of Hazardous Waste.
- Movement of waste across the site.
- Labeling of Waste Containers.
*
Assist with spill response, waste management, and pollution prevention initiatives.
*
Maintain accurate environmental logs, records, and reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
*
Collaborate with maintenance, production, and safety teams to ensure environmental best practices are followed.
*
Participate in training and development programs as required.
Qualifications & Experience
*
Forklift certified - minimum 2 years experience
*
2+ years of relevant experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or environmental services setting preferred.
*
TDG certificate
*
Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance (MOECP familiarity an asset).
*
Comfortable working a rotating Pitman shift schedule (12-hour shifts, days and nights).
*
Physically capable of performing fieldwork and lifting up to 50 lbs as required.
*
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Windsor site.
