The Friendly Nest Childcare Centre is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our Waldorf-inspired childcare program. The ideal candidate is committed to creating a calm, rhythmical, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive through play, creativity, nature, and meaningful relationships.
As an RECE, you will support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development while fostering a warm and inclusive classroom community rooted in the values of respect, wonder, imagination, and connection. You will work collaboratively with educators, families, and supervisors to provide high-quality care in accordance with the standards and regulations set by the College of Early Childhood Educators and the Ministry of Education.

Responsibilities:
- Implement developmentally appropriate, Waldorf-inspired programs and activities
- Create a safe, calm, caring, and inclusive learning environment
- Support children’s emotional well-being, self-help skills, and positive social interactions
- Observe and document children’s development and learning
- Maintain open and professional communication with families and team members
- Ensure health, safety, and licensing standards are consistently followed
- Collaborate with coworkers to maintain a positive and respectful workplace
- Support daily routines including meals, toileting, transitions, rest periods, and outdoor play
Qualifications:
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification level C
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Genuine passion for working with children and families
- Knowledge of child development and play-based learning approaches
- Experience or interest in Waldorf education is considered an asset

Pay: $18.50-$27.55 per hour
