We are currently hiring for all positions: Budtenders (5-6), Keyholders (1-2). In the coming year, we will also likely hire an Assistant Manager - and want to hire/promote someone who is already on the team (including paying for your AGCO Manager’s License).
We are opening this Spring (hopefully mid-May!), and will be open 7 days a week. We are hiring for both Full (40 hours per week) and Part-time roles (anywhere from 15 – 35 hours per week), in mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. For the candidates who show exceptional skills, experience, dedication and trustworthiness, we will do our best to create a set schedule for you.

To drive sales of cannabis products, support the safety, cleanliness and organization of the store, help the long-term growth of Out & About Cannabis brand, and fulfil all opening and/or closing procedures of the store when required.

High school diploma
-
Regular (daily) access to a mobile phone and/or computer, with email

A current or the ability to obtain CanSell certification before starting work
-
A clean background check (by law, we must conduct a background check before hiring you)

2+ years of professional experience that demonstrates you can and will perform your Budtender responsibilities well

Have prior experience working at a cannabis retail store

Have your CanSell certification

Have strong knowledge of cannabis strains, their effects and their chemical composition
Starting at $18.50/hour, with the potential to increase if your performance is stellar and as the business can afford it. You will also have annual reviews where your wage will be evaluated and adjusted, where possible and as warranted by your overall performance.

Arrive in time to open the store and start preparations for the day.

Close the store at the end of the day, after completing all closing procedures

Exude a warm, friendly, and welcoming disposition to customers as they arrive

Thank customers upon their departure from the store

Always be willing to help, assist and direct customers within the store and elsewhere·

Walk customers through the store and answer any questions they may have

Educate customers about cannabis

Help customers choose appropriate products based on their needs, preferences, requests and budgets

Suggest additional products and build sales, based on customer suggestions

Troubleshoot any product questions/issues

Assist with and execute daily store operations inc.: processing customer transactions through the store POS system (cash and credit cards), showroom maintenance and overall store cleanliness and organization

Stay knowledgeable on new products, changes in laws and industry trends

Stay abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends through provided professional development channels - and personal research

Understand all policies regarding legal cannabis sales and proper ID’ing practices

Maintain high awareness of store menu offerings to best answer customers’ questions

Maintain awareness of an adhere to all store policies and procedures
-
Communicate any customer/team issues, comments and complaints to Management

Ensure a safe working area for the team and customers

Follow all company COVID-19 procedures

Ensure that the sales floor is adequately stocked

Assist with other duties when necessary, such as peak service times
