We are hiring for the position of Electrical AutoCAD Draftsperson. The successful applicant will be a team player with a strong work ethic who is eager to work in electrical drafting and design. We are an Electrical Consulting firm providing professional electrical design services for new multi-family residential and commercial construction projects.

The primary role of this position is to assist with completing detailed design layouts / Electrical Floor Plans under the supervision of other Team members. The role will be predominantly working with AutoCAD.
Responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and/or design of electrical building plans, including lighting, power, life safety and telecommunications using AutoCAD 2015.
- Creating PDF files from AutoCAD 2015.
- Coordinating design requirements with other discipline drawings (mechanical, architect, etc.).
- Communicating with design team and clients via email, telephone or in person in a professional manner.
- Work with AutoCAD to create external references (Xrefs) for use within Electrical Template Files.
- Managing multiple deadlines and communicating work load with other team members.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD profiles, customisation, creating custom ribbons, menus, etc. an asset.
Requirements:
- Operational knowledge of AutoCAD. Certificate / Diploma in AutoCAD Lt, AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD is an asset
- Operational knowledge of Windows and Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Familiarity or experience with REVIT and/ or MEP is an asset
- Knowledge of Electrical design, residential design and/ or lighting design is an asset
- Knowledge of the BC building code and regulations such as ASHRAE and ASPE is an asset
- Ability to multi-task and work on several projects at the same time
- Ability to work independently with support from Designers and Project Managers
- Must be organized and professional
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
