Health & Safety Coordinator – Roles, Responsibilities and Scope of WorkPermit to Work Process
- Manage the Permit to Work process by reviewing and signing permits for the duration of the project.
- Ensure requirements for specific permits are met and that valid permits are posted at the work location.
- Provide signed permits to the maintenance team daily.
- Verify supplier personnel provide proof of training on the Permit to Work process; internal training will also be provided by the Company as required.
Communication and Information
- Maintain regular touchpoints with the Company site on a daily, weekly, or as otherwise defined by the Company site and Project Managers.
- Communicate contractor crew talks, site notices, and other relevant information from the Company site.
- Participate in daily project meetings as arranged by the Company’s Project Managers.
Contractor Management
- Carry out contractor induction prior to arrival on site, either virtually or upon arrival.
- Deliver training to subcontractors upon arrival on site.
- Use training materials provided by the Company site for supplier safety personnel
Inspections and Incident Reporting
- Support incident reporting as required and escalate hazards to Company Project Managers immediately.
- Work closely with Company Project Managers and site teams to promote safe work practices.
- Provide all project-related safety documentation to Company Project Managers at the end of the project or as otherwise required.
Requirement – ASP Card
- The Health & Safety Coordinator must hold a valid ASP Card where required for site access and project compliance.
- Proof of a valid ASP Card must be submitted prior to the start of work.
- Subcontractors and supplier personnel must provide proof of valid ASP certification/card where applicable before being authorized to work on site.
