Overview
We are seeking a skilled Generator Service and Repair Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of generator systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, with experience working on industrial or automotive equipment. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on generators using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct maintenance and trouble-shooting on generators on-site, including oil and filter changes, spark plugs, etc.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other specialized tools to complete service tasks
- Conduct heavy lifting as needed for parts and equipment handling
- Interpret technical schematics and mechanical diagrams to accurately identify issues
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and testing of new generator systems
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for each job performed
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all repair activities
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair or industrial machinery
- Electrical experience related to generator systems or similar equipment
- Proficiency with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
- Hands-on experience with welding, power tools, hand tools, and other repair equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and understand their needs
- Experience in sales or promoting service solutions is advantageous but not required
- Willing to perform labour in shop during quieter times, assisting the skilled trades in industrial motor repair and rebuilding

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
