Job Title: Master Electrician - Casual Oversight Role
Location: Bowmanville, Ontario

Pay: $40 / Hour
I’m a Licensed Electrician in Bowmanville, Ontario operating a small electrical contracting business. I'm seeking a Retired or Semi-Retired Master Electrician to act as the Designated Master Electrician ( DME ) as required by the Electrical Safety Authority ( ESA ).
This is a Casual, Flexible Role ideal for a retired or semi-retired professional looking to stay connected to the trade with minimal day-to-day demands, but still Provide Oversight and meet ESA expectations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Official DME On File with ESA
- Provide Oversight and Support on active electrical projects
- Review permits, job plans, and electrical safety code compliance
- Offer Remote Supervision via phone, text, or photos/video
- Make Occasional Site Visits ( as required by ESA or project complexity )
- Be available for ESA Contact or Audits
Requirements
- Must hold a Valid Ontario Master Electrician Licence
- Willing to be Formally Designated as DME for ESA licensing purposes
- Comfortable with Casual Work
- Able to provide General Oversight and Guidance
- Not currently designated as DME for another electrical contractor
