Job Title: Personal Care Ingredients and CMO Liaison
Position Type: Freelance, part-time (approx. 5 hours/week to start)
Compensation: $30 USD (appx $42 CAD)/hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking a freelance professional with a strong understanding of personal care and cosmetic formulations, specifically creams and lotions. This role involves representing our company with CMOs and white-label manufacturers to discuss technical formulations, evaluate ingredients, and oversee production logistics. Please note that this position focuses on the deep awareness of cosmetics ingredients and their respective functions; it does not involve the physical formulation or compounding of products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulation & Ingredient Review: Analyze ingredient lists, understand the function of each component, and ensure formulations align with product goals.
- CMO & Manufacturer Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact with technical and manufacturing teams, guiding discussions regarding custom formulations and white-label products.
- Production Coordination: Assist with logistics surrounding batching, filling, and packaging decisions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with personal care and cosmetic ingredient lists, functions, and formulation goals.
- Strong communication skills to effectively bridge technical requirements and manufacturing teams.
- Ability to bring clarity to product development and production decisions.
Pay: $42.00 per hour
