Luther Manor St. Catharines Inc. is seeking a Superintendent team to live on-site and work in our 40-unit Seniors (65+) residential building in St. Catharines.
Luther Manor St. Catharines Inc is a non-profit, NON-SMOKING, Seniors rental apartment building.
The Role:
- Build positive tenant relations and communications
- Respond to tenant inquiries, emergencies, and complaints in a timely and courteous manner. Must be willing to respond to after-hour emergencies.
- Perform minor building maintenance and repair, facilitating work orders and coordinating with any contractors/service people as required
- Monitor activity throughout the building to ensure residents and their guests adhere to management policies
- Ensure property is maintained in a clean, and "debris-free" condition
- Ability to walk throughout the property, including up and down stairs.
Skills & Experience:
- Background in residential property maintenance (2+ years) or related transferable experience (skilled-trade, handyperson)
- Familiar with the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006
- Ability to perform basic minor repairs and aptitude for mechanical systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skill
- Excellent communication skills to deal with residents, colleagues, Board of Directors and trades
- Maintain a professional and presentable appearance
- Demonstrated cleaning skills
- One individual must be able to lift and push heavy objects, including garbage bins, furniture and appliances
- Perform snow removal duties
