This position is responsible for dispatching ,monitoring time sensitive dedicated routes and performing shipping and receiving functions and other duties assigned by supervisor on the Cross Dock from 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Sorting and counting the freights, loading and unloading trucks
- Repetitious lifting, turning and bending require
- Able to work in a safely manner.
- Receive and answer emergency and non-emergency calls
- Proactively address problems and suggest solutions
- Receive and dispatch orders
- Assess situation and prioritize calls
- Oversee the route of field units and track delivery status of products
- Coordinate schedule in the most effective manner
- Any other duties that may be assigned
Education (Theoretical Training)
Secondary School Graduation Diploma preferred
Experience & Requirements
- 1 – 2 years in Transportation industry in dispatch or supervisory role
- Ability to work alone and make decisions
- Organized and detailed
- Computer literate
- Ability to lift up to 23kg when assisting in the unloading of the trailers
