We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Support Worker (PSW) to support a pediatric client living with Cerebral Palsy.
Position Details
- Position: Casual
- Hours: Nights and weekends
- Location: Ajax (Salem Road & Highway 401)
- Start Date: As soon as possible
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, one-on-one care in the client's home.
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Perform safe transfers and positioning as required.
- Support mobility and range-of-motion exercises.
- Monitor the client's comfort, safety, and overall well-being.
- Assist with feeding and other activities of daily living.
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with the client and family.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate any changes in condition.
Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience supporting children with Cerebral Palsy is an asset.
- Experience with pediatric home care is considered a strong asset.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Reliable transportation is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
