Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences
- Assess each pet’s coat, skin, and overall health to recommend appropriate grooming treatments and products
- Handle pets with kindness and patience, ensuring a stress-free grooming experience for both animals and owners
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitizing tools and work areas regularly
- Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming procedures, aftercare instructions, and any health concerns observed during grooming
- Keep detailed records of each pet’s grooming history and special needs to ensure consistent care
- Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques, styles, and safety protocols to provide top-quality service
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming or a related field with a strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and styles
- Knowledge of animal behavior and the ability to handle pets safely and compassionately
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to stand for extended periods while performing detailed grooming tasks
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality results in every grooming session
- Certification from a recognized pet grooming program or equivalent experience preferred but not mandatory
- A genuine love for animals combined with a positive attitude and energetic approach
