Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Landscaper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance, gardening, and construction, with the ability to operate various tools and machinery. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and aesthetic appeal. Candidates should possess mechanical knowledge and a passion for horticulture, contributing to the creation and upkeep of beautiful landscapes.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, and fertilizing
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for grading and landscaping projects
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, and construction tasks
- Maintain garden beds, lawns, trees, shrubs, and other plantings with care and precision
- Assist with construction projects such as retaining walls, patios, or walkways
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and perform basic mechanical repairs when necessary
- Ensure all work areas are safe, clean, and organized throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications
Skills
- Proven experience operating excavators, power tools, and hand tools in landscaping or construction settings
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening practices, and horticulture principles
- Ability to perform landscape maintenance tasks with attention to detail
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with construction techniques relevant to outdoor projects such as patios or retaining walls
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Valid driver’s license preferred for equipment operation or transportation needs
