Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven track record in retail management and sales management. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the retail store, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer experiences
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
- Recruit, train, and mentor sales associates to enhance their skills in merchandising, customer service, and product knowledge
- Manage inventory purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising displays to optimize store performance
- Oversee POS systems, cash handling procedures, and bookkeeping activities with accuracy and integrity
- Coordinate marketing efforts to promote products and increase store visibility within the community
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide training & development opportunities, and foster a positive work environment
- Monitor budget adherence, perform sales analysis, and prepare reports for senior management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Skills
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close sales effectively
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for diverse customer engagement
- Proven experience in recruiting, supervising, and developing retail staff
- Proficiency in payroll processing, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks
- Expertise in merchandising, pricing strategies, purchasing, and store management systems (POS)
- Demonstrated leadership in retail sales environments with team management experience
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with effective phone etiquette and communication abilities
- Skilled in marketing initiatives, market analysis, and promotional planning
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple priorities
- Experience in training & development programs for staff growth
- Competence in budgeting, financial analysis, math skills for pricing calculations, and organizational skills for operational efficiency
- At least 3 years of experience of sales
