Job Summary
We are seeking highly motivated electrical apprentices looking to gain industrial work experience.
Responsibilities
- Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
- Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors
- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
- Required to attend daily shop production meetings
- Participate and assist the entire team to ensure quality control meets high company standards
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures with continuously changing working environments
Qualifications
- Effective organization and communication skills with customers, inspectors and coworkers in both verbal and written forms
- Technical skills for interpreting construction methods and technologies along with contracts and technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently
- Great Spatial visualization
- Resourceful
- Strong understanding of AC and DC electrical systems, electrical theory and safety protocols
- Ideal to have a basic understanding in Generator / Electrical House industry
Work Location & Hours:
In person for 40hrs a week.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$55.00 per hour
