JOB SUMMARY
- Voltage Wireline Inc. is looking for experienced Wireline Operators/Drivers who would be responsible for maintaining and operating the wireline unit, along with getting it to and from the service location. They would also be responsible for rigging up on service locations and assisting with all wireline operations both in the field and in the shop. As well, the operator will maintain records of operations and maintenance for all applicable units and equipment. This position is a 15 days on shift and 6 days off rotation with some travel required. Voltage Wireline Inc. offers competitive industry wages with benefits and a safety minded work environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Understand and adhere to all Voltage Wireline Inc. policies and procedures
- Promote safety awareness
- Complete daily hazard assessments before starting work
- Take and follow directions from supervisors and management following all provincial and federal regulations and Voltage Wireline Inc.’s policies and procedures
- Drive pick-ups that may pull trailers following all provincial and federal regulations and Voltages Wireline Inc. policy and procedures
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of job specific tools and equipment as required
- Rig up and rig down wireline equipment and pressure control
- Clean, service and maintain all company vehicles and equipment/tools upon job completion
- Ensure compliance with all regulations related to explosive and radiation operations
- Assist the supervisor in the trouble shooting of tools,equipment, and truck problems
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or the reporting manager
- Report all incidents, accidents or near misses
- Be fit for duty and available during your 15 days on shift (Cell phone allowance provided)
Knowledge and Skills
- Basic Electronic Knowledge
- Willingness to learn and grow within the Voltage Wireline Inc. organization
- Ability to read and comprehend simple oral and written instructions and effectively communicate information to others
- Basic math skills (addition,subtraction,multiplication and division)
- Ability to think quickly and problem solve

- Ability to work with hands and power tools
- Keep all certifications up to date as required by Voltage Wireline Inc and HSE team.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling (70lbs)
- Frequent bending, twisting and standing
- Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions
- Ability to work more than 40hrs in any given week
- Working with explosives
- Working with radiation
Education,Certificates Licenses and Registrations
- High school diploma or equivalent (recommended)
- H2S (will train the right candidate)
- Valid Class 3Q drivers licence (minimum clean class 5 but will train the right candidate)
- First Aid / CPR (will train the right candidate)
Qualifications
- Must pass pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening and physical demand test
- Driver abstract must be in compliance with Voltage guidelines
- Must have the ability to reliably get to and from the Voltage Wireline shop location
- A background check is legally required for the successful candidate due to the safety sensitive nature of working with explosives and radiation
- Legal to work in Canada
