Job Description:
As an Maintenance technician at Timber Ridge Firewood, you will be responsible for efficiently operating and maintaining machinery to support the firewood bagging, delivery routes, and firewood processing functions of our site. Track and maintain quality standards, safety standards, maintain equipment, keep our warehouse and the yard clean. Your hard work, positive attitude, and ability to collaborate in a team environment will be essential in maintaining the productivity and effectiveness of our operations.
The ideal candidate for this role would be looking to commit to growing within the company and moving towards a managerial track in addition to equipment operation. This is a long term opportunity with a minimum 1 year commitment expectation.
Responsibilities:
- Running skid steer, loader, telehandler, forklift to aid in the manufacturing of firewood and distribution of firewood.
- Maintain small fleet of delivery trucks, wood processors and related equipment
- Maintain shop in an orderly and efficient manner.
- Ensure the quality of firewood, checking for any defects or inconsistencies
- Quality controlling pallets and totes of products that they have been made up to company standard ready for distribution
- Loading out dry vans and in house company trucks with product to deliver to warehouses and customers.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production targets and maintain a smooth workflow.
- Demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude towards work, fostering a motivated and supportive work environment.
- Learning how to train staff to be successful in their job functions.
- Work independently and responsibly, following instructions and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Operate machinery with care and efficiency
- Assist with general housekeeping and organization of the work area to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Communicate any concerns or improvements regarding firewood production processes.
- Aid clients that walk into our location to pick up firewood products.
- Take directive from our general manager to be a team player and help around site.
- Must have reliable transport to and from work.

Requirements:
- Equipment operating experience is required for this role Minimum 2 year
- Leadership experience minimum 1 year
- Experience running processors, splitters, chainsaws, or firewood processors is an asset
- Must be Mechanically inclined and willing to perform corrective and preventative maintenance on equipment and trucks.
- A strong work ethic with a willingness to work hard and contribute to the team's success.
- Positive attitude and ability to maintain enthusiasm even during demanding tasks.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Demonstrated efficiency in handling tasks and meeting productivity targets.
- Comfortable working independently and responsibly following safety guidelines.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to operate bagging equipment effectively (training will be provided).
- Must be able to lift minimum 50 LBS
