Title: Contents Manager

We are currently seeking a highly organized and motivated Contents Manager to oversee our contents department, ensuring seamless execution of soft-goods processing, pack-outs, pack-ins, and residential cleaning projects.
Job Summary
The Contents Manager is responsible for the organization and efficiency of the contents department. This role requires leadership, attention to detail, and a strong focus on maintaining safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience managing teams, maintaining inventory, scheduling, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels for cleaning supplies, pack-out materials, safety equipment, and other department necessities.
- Vendor Relations: Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and specialty sub-trades.
- Human Resources: Oversee hiring, onboarding, employee development, first-level discipline, and quality control inspections.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets high-quality standards acceptable to customers and project managers.
- Scheduling: Manage daily staff scheduling and minimize downtime in the shop.
- Shop Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization within the workspace and vehicles.
- Equipment & Vehicle Oversight: Schedule and monitor maintenance, make recommendations for replacements, and identify opportunities for improving productivity and safety.
- Training & Development: Lead training efforts, ensure compliance with company policies, and recommend external courses for staff development.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience managing a team of 5 or more employees.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and equipment is an asset.
- Experience in coordinating tasks and events.
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft O365, and familiarity with Xactimate and Encircle is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including navigating stairs, lifting, bending, kneeling, and climbing heights up to six feet.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle for work-related travel.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and medical physical exam if required.
- Valid Level 1 First Aid Certificate.
- WHMIS Online Training, Esporta Certificate, Fireline/Ultrasonics Certificate, and IICRC certifications (FSRT, OCT, UFCT, JFS) are considered assets.
Work Environment
- Work may be performed indoors and outdoors.
- Exposure to dust, smoke, mold, mildew, and cleaning agents requires wearing appropriate protective gear.
- Requires ability to perform strenuous physical labor.
