Overview
We are seeking a skilled TIG/MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including ductwork, structural components, and custom fabrications within a dynamic production environment. Candidates must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working with various tools and machinery to produce high-quality welds and assemblies.
Duties
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on various materials following detailed blueprints and schematics
- Operate and set up welding equipment, including plasma cutters and press brake machines
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure precision in fabrication
- Rigging components for assembly or installation using cranes or forklifts as needed
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
- Conduct machining tasks and utilize hand tools for finishing welds or preparing materials
- Assist with plasma cutting, assembly, and installation of ductwork or structural elements
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper equipment handling
Experience
- Proven experience in MIG welding, TIG welding, and plasma cutting within manufacturing or construction settings
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes, rigging, machining, and blueprint reading
- Familiarity with crane operation, forklift handling, press brake machines, and schematics interpretation is preferred
- Ability to use calipers, hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment effectively
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication processes
- Prior experience working with ductwork, structural steel, or similar materials is advantageous
- Knowledge of safety standards related to welding, rigging, machining, and general manufacturing practices
