Position Overview
We are hiring a Heavy Truck and Trailer Mechanic who brings hands-on expertise, strong diagnostic skills, and a deep understanding of heavy-duty systems. You’ll play a key role in keeping our equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the road.
Important: Applicants must have:
3+ years experience repairing heavy trucks/trailers
2+ years of Alberta or Canadian trade school training

- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and trailers
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and HVAC issues using tools and diagnostic software
- Conduct safety inspections to identify and correct potential hazards
- Document repair history, parts usage, and service reports accurately
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
- Mentor junior technicians and provide on-the-job guidance when needed
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and clients regarding repairs and equipment condition
Requirements
- 3+ years of direct experience in heavy truck and trailer maintenance
- 2+ years of Canadian/Alberta trade school training (automotive or heavy-duty technician) - no international applicants at this time
- Proficiency with diagnostic/scan tools, electrical systems, and HVAC
- Strong understanding of Electronics
- Familiarity with DOT, CVIP, and safety standards
- Excellent problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to safety-first work practices
