Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pipe Foreman to lead and supervise underground servicing crews on civil construction projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge of pipe installation and a proven ability to manage crews, coordinate resources, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead pipe installation crews on underground infrastructure projects.
- Interpret and work from construction drawings, specifications, and grade information.
- Coordinate daily work activities, crew assignments, and equipment needs.
- Ensure proper installation of storm, sanitary, and watermain systems.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, and subcontractors.
- Maintain productivity while ensuring work meets quality and safety standards.
- Enforce company safety policies and site-specific safety requirements.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and job hazard assessments.
- Monitor material usage and report shortages or issues promptly.
- Assist with layout, grade checking, and as-built documentation as required.
- Identify and resolve field issues to minimize delays and rework.
Qualifications:
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in underground pipe installation or civil construction.
- Previous foreman or crew lead experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of storm, sanitary, and watermain construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, grades, and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- CET or trade-related certifications considered an asset.
