Production Line Worker
Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Temporary
Schedule: Shift Work (Days, Afternoons, Nights, Overtime as Required)
Pay: Starting at $17.60 per hour
About Cedar Valley
Cedar Valley is a growing Canadian food manufacturer producing premium pita chips enjoyed by customers across North America. We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who take pride in producing high-quality food products in a safe, clean, and team-oriented environment.
As a Production Line Worker, you'll support the production and packaging of our pita chips.
Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment and assist with general manufacturing tasks.
- Rotate through various production stations, including feeding, forming, frying, seasoning, inspection, sorting, packing, and palletizing.
- Package products according to company quality and food safety standards.
- Assemble boxes, label, tape, palletize, and prepare finished goods for shipment.
- Monitor product quality and remove defective or non-conforming products.
- Count finished products and packaging materials as required.
- Report equipment issues, quality concerns, and inventory shortages to the Production Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and production areas.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Operate a forklift if certified and authorized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or production is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of GMP and food safety practices is an asset.
- Food Handler Certification is an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and accept coaching.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements.
- Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift.
