Black Rock Oceanfront Resort in Ucluelet, BC is hiring a Cook 1 to join our year-round culinary team.
We’re looking for an experienced cook who is confident running a station and supporting a smooth, organized service. This role suits someone who takes pride in consistency, communicates well with the team, and is ready to take on a bit more responsibility in the kitchen.
This is a great fit for someone who:
- Has 3 or more years of professional kitchen experience
- Is comfortable managing a station during busy service periods
- Works calmly under pressure and stays organized
- Has flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Is passionate about cooking and committed to continued learning
- Brings a strong work ethic and a positive, team-first attitude
In this role, you will:
- Prepare and plate dishes efficiently and consistently, following established standards
- Run a station and support coordinated service with the culinary team
- Assist with prep planning and daily kitchen organization
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in your work area
- Store, label, and rotate food properly to minimize waste
- Assist with inventory and kitchen organization
- Follow all food safety and workplace safety standards
- Contribute to a respectful and collaborative work environment
