Associate, Private Clients & Foundations

We are seeking an Associate, Private Clients & Foundations to join our Calgary office on a 18-month maternity leave coverage contract. Supporting the Portfolio Management team, this role is integral to delivering an exceptional client experience through portfolio reporting, client communications, proposal development, and operational support. Working closely with Portfolio Managers and Associates across the firm, the successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing success of our Private Clients & Foundations business.

Responsibility Areas:
Client Servicing & Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client requests.
- Prepare meeting materials, investment reports, and correspondence.
- Support client meetings through coordination, note-taking, and follow-up.
- Build strong relationships with clients by ensuring timely, proactive communication.
Account Administration
- Facilitate onboarding of new clients, including KYC, and compliance processes.
- Maintain accurate client data and ensure CRM systems are up to date.
- Process account changes, transfers, cash movements, and trade instructions efficiently.
- Liaise with custodians, internal departments, and external partners to resolve client issues.
Portfolio & Investment Support
- Support portfolio rebalancing, client reporting, and performance review activities.
- Prepare trade tickets, investment proposals, and financial planning summaries.
- Monitor key client milestones, portfolio events, and tax-related deadlines.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure documentation and processes comply with regulatory standards.
- Assist with ongoing KYC updates, suitability reviews, and client file audits.
- Support internal process improvements.
Qualification and Experience:
- 2-5 years’ experience working in a similar role in private wealth, investment advisory, or financial services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Enrollment in the CFA program is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, Advent, and Salesforce software preferred.

- Competitive Compensation Package: Salary range of $68,000 - $74,000 per annum, with flexibility for exceptional candidates with highly relevant experience. Compensation will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity.
