Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Marine Centre Support / Sales Team member to join our marine centre. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, reservation management, and supporting sales efforts in a vibrant marine and outdoor environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, able to interact with guests, and the ability to engage with diverse customers. Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting marine excursions, providing information about our educational experiences.
- Support sales transactions using POS systems, handling cash and processing payments accurately
- Provide excellent customer service through effective communication, and personalized assistance
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers during busy periods while maintaining organizational standards
- Maintain premises, issue and maintain gear for activities, track activities, cash accounting, reservation entry.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, or merchandising is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain experiences clearly and confidently
- Basic cash accounting, payment processing and transaction processing
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in operations and departure preparations.
- Ability to plan vessel departures and efficiently get groups ready for activities.
- Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude and professional communication ability.
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak departure periods.
- Knowledge of POS systems, retail merchandising, and cash handling procedures is desirable
- Ability to organize & cope in a busy marine tour operation.
