Summary
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Olde Tyme Candy Shoppe Ltd at our busy Canmore, AB. In this role, you will be the face of our store, helping customers find their favorite treats and ensuring they have a memorable experience. Your enthusiasm and customer service skills will contribute directly to our store’s welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products.
- Assist in receiving goods, enter products into inventory management system, must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Maintain attractive product displays and ensure shelves are stocked and tidy
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, manage cash register operations and cash out duties
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and inviting.
- Light cleaning and closing procedures
- Be able to be on your feet for the duration of your shift, this is a busy fast paced environment
Qualifications
Proven experience in retail sales or customer service.
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and operate POS systems.
- Friendly, approachable personality with a passion for customer service.
- Basic math skills for cash handling.
- Ability to work well in a team environment or on your own
- Previous experience with merchandising an asset
- Must be available evenings and weekends
