Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and safety-conscious Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic (421A) to inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and verify the repair of heavy-duty equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and verify repairs on heavy-duty equipment
Work on a variety of equipment including:
- Drive axle and draft shaft assemblies
- Final drives
- Structural components, frames, and undercarriages
- Tires, wheels, and ground engaging equipment and attachments
- Inspect equipment for wear, damage, defects, and performance issues
- Service, adjust, replace, align, recondition, exchange, and reprogram components as required
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
- Complete accurate service reports and maintenance records.
- Follow manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and company procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with Ontario OHSA
Qualifications
- Valid 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certificate, candidates with strong, proven heavy-duty equipment experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 2–5 years experience working with heavy-duty equipment (experience level flexible)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic data
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting, standing, and working in varied environments
Pay: $26.00-$45.00 per hour

Experience:
