Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. This job will be full-time for summer months and possibly part time beyond. This role involves transporting small to medium-sized parcels efficiently and safely to various destinations. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, warehouse operations, and possess strong communication skills. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that focuses on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Standard work week would be Monday to Friday, 8am to 430pm
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles (small van or car) to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment when necessary
- Ensure accurate and timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Maintain the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the vehicle
- Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory and organizing shipments as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries professionally and courteously
Qualifications
- A standard driver’s license is required; having a clean driving record is prefered
- Experience in warehouse operations, pallet jack, or forklift operation is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform other physical tasks regularly throughout the shift
- Prior experience in commercial driving or delivery services is preferred
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate deliveries
- Reliable transportation to commute to the work location daily
Pay: From $19.65 per hour
