ITS Electronics would be interested in receiving resumes for the position of Senior RF Design Engineer
ITS Electronics designs and manufactures a range of high performance satellite communications products including customer specified frequency converters, power amplifiers and oscillators for commercial, military and aeronautical applications. In order to address the growing demand for its products, ITS is seeking candidates for the position of Senior RF Design Engineer.
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, candidates should possess a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the following areas:
- RF / IF circuit design, simulation and validation (from 1 to 75 GHz).
- Microwave and millimeter wave devices, circuits and technologies.
- MMIC / HMIC design methodologies and rapid HW prototyping techniques.
- Waveguide filters, combiners / dividers, strip-line filters, mixers, attenuators and couplers.
- Cleanroom processes, bench testing and test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, power meters, signal / noise generators, etc.
- Electronic Design Automation tools (e.g. ADS, Microwave Office, etc.) and 2D / 3D EM simulators (e.g. ADS, HFSS, Microwave Studio, etc.)
- ARINC standards and RTCA/DO-160 (environmental conditions and test procedures for airborne equipment)
- CE marking / certification
- EMI / EMC testing
Candidates should also possess the ability to:
- Manage small projects on spec, on budget and on time.
- Analyze customer requirements and draft technical specifications.
- Interface effectively with Customers and Suppliers and with Engineering and Operations.
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Master’s Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 5 to 10 years RF / IF development and implementation experience with high performance satellite and / or wireless communications products.
- Effective written and verbal communications in English.
- Canadian security clearance would be an asset.
