Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our printing and signage company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating print-ready artwork, preparing production files, coordinating print projects, and assisting with the installation of signs, vehicle graphics, window graphics, and other visual branding materials when required.
Key ResponsibilitiesGraphic Design
- Design and create artwork for signs, banners, vehicle wraps, window graphics, wall murals, business cards, brochures, flyers, and promotional materials.
- Prepare print-ready files according to production specifications.
- Modify and update existing customer artwork as needed.
- Ensure all designs meet brand guidelines and customer requirements.
- Create proofs and mockups for client approval.
- Communicate with customers regarding design revisions and approvals.
Print Production
- Operate and assist with large-format printers, laminators, plotters, and cutting equipment.
- Prepare files for printing, cutting, and finishing.
- Perform quality checks to ensure accurate colors, sizing, and finishing.
- Assist with weeding, laminating, mounting, trimming, and packaging finished products.
- Maintain organized production files and project records.
Sign & Graphics Installation
- Assist with the installation of:
- Window graphics
- Wall graphics and murals
- Vehicle decals and wraps
- Storefront signage
- Interior and exterior signs
- Banners and promotional displays
- Measure installation areas and ensure accurate placement.
- Use installation tools and equipment safely and professionally.
- Travel to customer locations for installations when required.
Customer Service & Project Coordination
- Work closely with customers to understand project requirements.
- Provide design recommendations and material suggestions.
- Assist in estimating project timelines and production schedules.
- Coordinate with production staff to ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW.
- Experience in graphic design, sign production, or print industry preferred.
- Knowledge of large-format printing and signage materials.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift materials and assist with installations.
- Valid driver's license is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with vehicle wraps and vinyl installations.
- Knowledge of RIP software and print production workflows.
- Familiarity with sign fabrication and finishing techniques.
- Basic photography and social media design skills are a plus.
