Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role requires excellent communication skills, a welcoming attitude, and the ability to handle guest inquiries efficiently. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued to assist a diverse range of guests and enhance guest experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, make reservations, and provide information about hotel services
- Provide outstanding guest services by addressing requests, resolving issues, and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, cancellations, and guest preferences using hotel management software
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and issue receipts with proper phone etiquette and professionalism
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure guest rooms are prepared and meet quality standards
- Assist guests with directions, local recommendations, and other concierge services as needed
- Uphold hospitality standards by maintaining a clean and organized front desk area
Qualifications
- Previous experience in front desk or hospitality roles preferred; hotel experience is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse guests effectively
- Knowledge of guest services operations within a hotel environment is advantageous
- Professional appearance and positive attitude required to represent the hotel brand effectively
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
