ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
New Chelsea Society is a non-profit housing organization that provides affordable housing across the Lower Mainland. It was established by local branches of the Royal Canadian Legion to support veterans, but it has expanded its scope to serve seniors, people with disabilities, and families as well. The society owns and operates 23 properties that offer different types of housing options. It also runs Winch House, a temporary housing facility for injured members of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Army, Navy, Air Force Veterans in Canada, and emergency first responders who need a place to recover.
