Job Summary
We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Concrete Finishers to join our construction team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for applying finishing touches to concrete surfaces, ensuring smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing results. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques, as well as familiarity with related construction skills such as rebar installation, masonry, and blueprint reading. Candidates should be capable of heavy lifting and working with various hand and power tools in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in concrete forming, restoration, flooring installation, and welding is highly desirable to support diverse project needs.
Responsibilities
- Apply finishing techniques to freshly poured concrete surfaces to achieve desired textures and smoothness.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently during concrete finishing tasks.
- Install rebar and formwork according to schematics and blueprints to prepare for concrete pouring.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects.
- Perform masonry work, including caulking, restoration, and renovation tasks related to concrete structures.
- Conduct welding and other specialized tasks as required for structural integrity or aesthetic enhancements.
- Assist with concrete pouring, leveling, and curing processes while maintaining safety standards.
- Execute flooring installation projects involving concrete surfaces or related materials.
- Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, including heavy lifting procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles such as masonry or restoration.
- Mechanical knowledge of equipment operation including heavy machinery used in concrete work.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding for various construction tasks.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings essential for precise execution.
- Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, flooring installation, welding, or renovation projects is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a construction environment.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices for working on large-scale projects.
