Job Summary
We’re hiring a hands-on Fabrication Lead to join a busy custom signage shop in Newmarket. This is a great opportunity for an experienced sign professional who enjoys working on the tools while also guiding a team and keeping production on track.

What You’ll Do
Ø Fabricate and assemble a variety of custom signage projects (channel letters, illuminated signs, wayfinding, branded environments, etc.)
Ø Read and interpret drawings and production specifications accurately
Ø Support production scheduling and help keep workflow organized and efficient
Ø Troubleshoot fabrication and production issues to avoid delays or rework
Ø Work closely with design, project management, print, CNC, paint, and installation teams
Ø Guide and support other fabricators on best practices, quality, and productivity
Ø Perform quality checks on completed work before installation
Ø Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
Ø Assist with occasional site work or installations as needed
What We’re Looking For
Ø 5+ years of experience in sign fabrication
Ø Strong knowledge of custom signage materials, fabrication methods, and installation readiness
Ø Ability to read and work from technical drawings
Ø Leadership or shop-floor coordination experience is an asset
Ø Experience with CNC, laser cutting, channel letters, vinyl application, print finishing, or illuminated signage is an asset
Ø Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ø Valid G Class driver’s licence
Ø Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Ø Aerial lift experience is an asset; Fall Arrest certification is preferred
