Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and organized Counter Sales Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced shop environment, enjoys working with customers, and has strong multitasking skills. You will be responsible for tire sales, customer service, scheduling, and supporting daily shop operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales
- Greet and assist customers in-person and over the phone
- Provide tire recommendations, quotes, pricing, and availability
- Assist with all tire services including repairs, changeovers, and installations
- Communicate updates to customers regarding vehicle progress and repairs
- Handle invoicing, billing, and payments accurately
Scheduling & Operations
- Manage daily service schedules and ensure efficient workflow
- Coordinate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of jobs
- Assist with vehicle intake, work orders, and service documentation
- Maintain clear communication between shop staff and customers
Parts & Inventory Management
- Source and order parts efficiently (prioritizing in-stock inventory)
- Track purchase orders and ensure accuracy in receiving documentation
- Maintain organized parts storage and manage returns
Administrative Duties
- Answer incoming calls, book appointments, and follow up on missed calls
- Complete and manage inspection forms and required documentation
- Ensure accurate entry of services, inspections, and sales into systems
- Maintain inventory of office forms, inspection paperwork, and shop supplies
Shop & Team Support
- Assist with vehicle movement and bay organization when needed
- Communicate daily updates, schedule changes, and shop priorities to team members
- Help ensure shop cleanliness, organization, and safety standards are maintained
End-of-Day Responsibilities
- Confirm all scheduled work is completed or rescheduled appropriately
- Follow up with customers regarding incomplete work
- Ensure purchase orders and paperwork are submitted
- Review next day’s schedule and prepare accordingly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in tire sales, automotive service, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of automotive services and tires is an asset
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and point-of-sale systems
